The crucial roles of MMUF mentors are:
- to support their MMUF mentee in their growth as young scholars;
- to help their MMUF mentee focus their research proposal and the steps they take in their research during each break (winter break and summer break, in particular);
- to direct their MMUF mentee to scholarly resources, and to help their mentees refine their research questions;
- to express enthusiasm and guidance as their mentee considers a Ph.D. program in the humanities and a career as a professor in higher education.
